A guest at Ca´ Centopietre

Centopietre because those are the steps in order to catch up with many places, here at Dorsoduro. The Academy of Venice, the foundations that towards skillful door to the rafts opposite the Giudecca Island and where the students and pedestrian pass the summery hours sun bathing in this sunny and fresh Dorsoduro. Exiting from the Inn I head for Campo Saint Barnaba and a little more further I find Campo Saint Margherita.

Dorsoduro is a very quiet Venetian place just a few steps from everything.

Here the tourists are not many and can live the city atmosphere and the typical premises, dipped in the true Venetian life.

I can arrive in Saint Mark in 10 minutes, walking towards the Academy and Saint Stefano.

I want to get down to the Dorsoduro of the Guggheneim and to the Church of La Salute, then I will choose to return newly to the Zattere therefore will breathe a little wind from the sea. Centopietre inn is the ideal place to live the heart of Venice, the softer Venetian part not chaotic and less civitalized. Venice is bridges and the one of the Academy, constructed from the Austrians in 1854, allows me to catch up the architecture of the Gotich palaces of Saint Stefano's Square in a couple of minutes.

This evening I have passed the Happy hour of the aperitif in Saint Margherita's Square, a couple of minutes from Centopietre Inn. A Square that has been widened closing some small canals in the course of the XIX° sec.

and that it takes name from the here present Church. Saint Margherita is a young and active place, in which often the evenings are animated by music.

Dorsoduro is magnificent, and my stay in the quiet and pacefull of Centopietre Inn has been an optimal choice. I have been able to live in an luminous Venetian house and collection, just a few minutes from Saint Marks and Rialto, than it allows you to come down to the Venetian living without being dipped in the chaos of tourists who populated the small alliways.

The Inn is a familiar, kind and discreet atmosphere, and is my suggestion if you desire a place to start living as a Venetian in Venice. Here you have the perception of the time in Venice. Dorsoduro is a unique place indeed. If you really love the city I suggest Centopietre Inn.
